TU Swimming 2009-2010

I am currently a member of the Trinity swim team. Trinity’s women’s team has been off to an amazing start since the beginning of the season. Everyone has put in tons of time and effort into every practice and it has paid off in our meets. So far the Trinity women’s team has yet to lose a single meet. As you may not know the women’s swim team will be protecting a six-year winning streak at conference. If we win this year it will increase the winning streak to seven years. Every single girl is going to have to work hard for us to achieve this goal. Our meet performances thus far have really shown how hard we have been working. At our first big invitational, which was in November in Southlake Texas, was a great success. We had multiple girls win events, and many season top performances. The Trinity Women won the meet, defeating many division two schools and one division one school. The swim team continued to put in lots of effort when we had to return back to school December 28th for our winter training session. Our practice schedule was brutal, containing many days when we had to swim twice. Every girl worked hard and helped each other push through the long two and half week training session. Our most recent meet, which was last weekend, was not expected to be a great meet for anyone, with all the hard work us girls put in over the break. This was not the case though; there were many amazing races and some time drops. This is a great sign; Trinity Women are competing in Houston Texas this weekend against Centenary, a division one school. It will be a very close meet, but hopefully we will pull out a win and have some awesome swims.
